This is where Community overlaps, encouraging innovation on the land and towards empowered self-sustainability, through multiple streams of Social Enterprise.
Within the Commons will be a full Maker Space (Workshop and Art Studio), Tool Library, Experimental Greenhouse, Commercial Kitchen and Shared Offices.
Through the collective efforts of the community, skills and tools will be shared and acquired, and arts and trades workshops will be held to ensure that all community members have basic skills in everything from electrical, plumbing, welding, woodworking and the fine arts.
The Commons will also be made available to the greater community for rentals and Proximal Members will have access as well.
This has been a very successful model of community workshop space in communities all over the world. It fosters community connections, builds self-confidence with skills and keeps folx busy on productive ventures.
